Here’s a modern au I came up with at 2 in the morning: Kai, Wolf, Thorne, and Jacin make up an insanely popular boy band called The Lunar Lights. And when I say boy band, I mean cheesy af, 90s-esque, NSYNC/Backstreet Boys/Sev'ral Timez style boy band. We’re talking songs made up entirely of synthesizers and autotune, hordes of screaming teenage girls who have devoted their lives to learning every dance routine and writing self-insert fanfictions about their favorite Light, and completely fake personalities for each guy (if you’re wondering, Kai is The Leader, Wolf is the Strong Silent One, Thorne is the Bad Boy, and Jacin is the Sensitive Soul).
How do the girls play into this? Cinder is their manager, Scarlet is head of security, Cress is a groupie, Winter is an up-and-coming actress who’s dating Jacin (breaking the hearts of many aforementioned screaming teenage girls), and Iko is the group’s personal stylist.
